Taking a Closer Look at Lanie's Camper

Hey guys! A month or so ago, my mom and I stopped at a flea market a few towns away from us. Almost immediately, I saw something a few booths down and couldn't believe my eyes: Lanie's Camper! Any dolls camper has always been my grail, but I've always liked Lanie's the best. I literally could not believe it was right in front of me. The booth was selling it for ~$100, and my mom asked me if I would like that to be my big birthday present this year--- I said yes! I had to wait so long, but my birthday finally arrived, and naturally, I had to talk about it on the blog!

I don't know what I was expecting, but it's way bigger than I ever imagined it would be. I don't know why I was initially surprised in hindsight, because I knew dolls could stand upright in it. It's also very heavy! It has a wood frame, and I read somewhere that it weighs almost 50 pounds--- I believe that! The wheels don't roll either, so it's extremely difficult to move. Aaaand of course the hitch/stand of mine is broken/missing pieces, but I got it to stay propped up regardless.

Here it is in all its glory! The camper is a little banged up on the back, but it's one of those things where, if you find it, you can't really complain about the condition.

I thought the spare tire was super cute. The tires are a rubber material.

I know I've mentioned camping on the blog, but I don't think I've ever gone into the specifics. We own a camper that's a little on the smaller side and occasionally take it out to state parks, but we've also used it for longer vacations. So. I've always wanted a doll camper; I think I remember wanting one before my family even started camping. 😂 My life experience is what I'm comparing this doll camper to lol.

The stickers were definitely put on by a kid and have gotten a little gross where they bubble up, but I am so not complaining.

Same deal with the bulletin board. the stickers are peeling slightly.

This is a better image of the inside! I really like the layout. Obviously this set couldn't be perfectly scaled, but I think AG managed a realistic and semi-practical setup in the allotted space. Smaller campers tend to be arranged similarly.

It came with the original pamphlet, which was awesome! I triple checked, and it also came with all of its accessories. I will say... I think AG has upped it with accessories because this camper comes with barely anything. Maybe I'm wrong, but it seems like AG tends to include more accessories in big sets these days.

When you're camping, storage is everything. The main kitchen storage in this camper is this shelf. It's not super realistic because your stuff would probably fall out of this... also... the recycling? Personally, my family doesn't do recycling while camping (we do at home), and we definitely don't have space for a trash can! I don't really think a recycling can is a great use of camper space, but if anyone does bring recycling cans camping, let me know!

There's this little fridge, which is so cute! There's no space for pantry items, so the dolls are having refrigerated pasta for dinner. 🤩

I stopped eating gluten earlier this year. Do y'all think this spaghetti is gluten-free?

What about this bread?

I think the bread originally came in a bag or something, but mine does not have that.

I thought the embroidery on this potholder was really cute.

I love that there's at least a stove top to cook on. Also the texture on the counter tops is really realistic, and I love that as well!

Olivia-Claire was my model, and the little kitchen area was a perfect size to set up a scene.

The seating area was a bit more awkward, but still plenty roomy.

The bench opens for more storage as well. It's supposed to hold the sleeping bag (which is in there in the picture), but it could definitely be used for anything.

I love that there's a shower. It's a tight squeeze, but that's accurate to real campers lol.

I think the shower curtain has a cute pattern.

The bulletin board comes down to work as a bed. It's the perfect size and feels stable. The sleeping bag is the only bedding that comes with the set, however.

Also I tried to have Olivia-Claire in a cool pose, but it looks odd now, so just ignore that.

And here's Livy-C holding the door! I wanted to show off the size of the camper in comparison to the doll. This probably wasn't the most effective way to show it, but you can see it's pretty big!

Overall, I am so happy to have this set! I think it's going to be so fun to personalize and turn into a Just Dolling space. Hopefully I use it a ton--- it will be so fun to do photoshoots with, and I have the old red RC car as well, so that just kinda sets the scene, you know? So yeah! 😊

That's all for this post! As always, have an amazing week and remember to eat your veggies! Bye! <3
