Doll Display Tour 2026

Hey guys! At the end of 2024, I did a tour of my doll displays (you can check out that post here!), and I really liked that style of content. My bedroom changed drastically in 2025, so the shelving looks completely different now, and I thought, since it's now 2026, it would be nice to do another post over my doll shelves!

The biggest change is obviously that my AG dollhouse is in a different room now! It's about as cluttered as it always was, but that's to be expected. I don't really know what else to say. I keep the Scenes and Settings backdrops on the side, and if you're really keeping up with my stuff, you might know I have Samantha's Scenes and Settings and love using it for the blog. I just got Molly's Scenes and Settings for Christmas and am so excited to have it in my arsenal!

The rest of my displays are in my bedroom, our next stop is this tiered floating shelf in my room! If you're dedicated to doing a one-by-one comparison of the old post with this new post, you'll see that this has changed a bit. It changed at least 3 times in 2025, but it's back to primarily holding Monster High. I've gotten several new ones since the end of 2024 lol. The bottom shelf now primarily holds books. I've been trying to reignite the love for reading that I had when I was in elementary school. Also my turkey foot is there. I didn't explain the turkey foot last time, and I don't plan on explaining it this time.

If you read the original version of this post, I shared my tall white shelf.

Well. That shelf is no longer upright.

This is what it looks like now:

I put it on its side. :)

We're going to unpack it one section at a time.

This is the first little "section."

I consider it the vintage Barbie universe. This car barely fits on the shelf, but we make it work. It's the original Barbie car, after all. Ken is not allowed to drive it because he's just Ken. (If you've seen the Barbie Movie, I just feel like they wouldn't let the Kens drive. Idk.)

This is my non-doll realm. The big blue thing deserves its own post, honestly, but it's a vintage thread cabinet. It *most likely* held thread for purchase in a store once upon a time, and is branded for Lily Mills Company. I'd been looking for a cool thing to hold my sewing supplies that was cute and functional for a while, and had my heart set on an old thread cabinet. HOWEVER. Most of these thread cabinets go for literally hundreds of dollars, and I just could not swing $300 on something like that. So imagine my excitement when I thrifted this one for $75! It's so roomy and fits the brand of thread I use perfectly. Plus I keep buttons on the bottom. The box is all glass and metal, so it's a really solid piece and I adore it.

On top of my thread cabinet is my record player (the blue case thingy) and the (three) albums I own on vinyl. It's not an impressive assortment of music, but while I think physical media has its benefits, records just aren't super practical for me? I digress.

Also I have to point out the poster above the shelf!! That's my favorite band--- The Happy Fits! I had THE MOST amazing experience at one of their concerts, that I absolutely do not think I can describe in words. But yeah, they signed the poster. 🥹

Moving on, the shelf has two heights because it has an extension thingy. This is the top of the second level. It has my AG realm, which is the white body dolls, Samantha's trunk, Samantha's wicker chair (a recent thrift find and gift!), and my AG Hallmark figurines. On the right is my classic Barbie "shrine" (that's what I call it), which just consists of my AG x Barbie Collab doll and my MH x Barbie Collab doll! There are some knick-knacky things as well, like the pink toy sewing machine, which is from the 1960s.

Working our way down, this is my Barbie Movie shelf. It doesn't look super well-arranged right now, but we ignore that.

Next to the Barbies is this kind of empty shelf. I had my G1 Monster High dolls in this cubby, but after Christmas, I moved them to the floating shelf, and this was what I quickly came up with for the empty space. We have Day-to-Night Barbie and her modern counterpart. And a 60s Barbie case, of course.

Under that, I have Bratz. This isn't the most visually aesthetic display, but I don't know what else to do. This spot is definitely open to change.

Same with my 3rd generation Monster High dolls, although I'm more emotionally attached to them than I am my Bratz dolls. I'm just not sure how to display them well. :)

This is the shelf directly under my thread cabinet. It holds my typewriter (the thing in the black case), my Kewpie dolls, and my AG trading cards. It's very simple and, in my opinion, looks good.

I've combined all my American Girl books and stuffed them into two shelves. In the free space, I put my holiday Monster High dolls. Their stands are horrible, so that's why they look kind of unbalanced.

In front of the rest of the AG books, I have my Monster High Reel Drama dolls! These are inspired by the black and white of old Hollywood movies, and I really love the line. I wasn't planning on getting any of them, but now I have 3, haha. Oops. I'm missing 2 in the line, and I fear that, if they were to come back in stock, I might not be able to stop myself from completing the whole thing.

Then, next to that is a more knick-knacky shelf. I have my Sweet 16 Mattel doll (I explained her in the original shelf tour post), the holiday Barbie from the year I was born, and presidential candidate Barbie (she was a gift from a friend). Then I have some framed pictures in the back. Also I keep candy in the M&M jar for when people come over and hang out in my room.

Finally, I have this floating shelf! This used to be a shelf for my AG dolls, and if you remember the OG version of this post, there used to be two of them. The bottom one ended up being too heavy and pulling out of the wall, so we took it down. It's also no longer above my bed because I rearranged my room. So it's nice not having things falling on me when I sleep. :) This display is kind of a WIP, and I don't *really* know what it's going to end up like, but here it is so far.

I have these nice hardcover copies of some classic books that I wanted to display. They're all thrifted! :) So I paid like $2 each instead of the $30+ they'd probably be originally. That's my big flex.

I also have my Monster High Enid and Wednesday dolls. I have not seen Wednesday (my mom has, though), but I do love the classic Adam's Family. I thought these dolls were really cute, though.

Then I have my pride and joys!!!! These are Monster High's San Diego Comic Con collector dolls for 2024 (on the right) and 2025 (on the left). My mom and I preordered Sweet Screams Twyla on impulse, and I received her as a late birthday present. She might be one of my favorite dolls, and she was way too cool to display out-of-box. That made me sad that I didn't get the SDCC doll for 2024, which was Deadfast Ghoulia, but my mom got this one for less than retail for me for Christmas. 🥹 She was NIB, but I didn't like her box as much, so I took her out.

And that's all for this post! Have a great week and remember to eat your veggies! Bye! <3
