Mini Book Haul
The first book I grabbed was McKenna, Ready to Fly!
I got Kit Learns a Lesson, which I thought I didn’t have, but it turned out that I actually did.
Since it’s a library copy, it has one of those durable covers that only libraries use. I thought that was really neat.
I didn’t have Kit’s Surprise, so I picked that one up.
And Kit Saves the Day.
Then, I got Josefina’s Surprise.
Unlike the other ones, this one is hardcover with a plastic sleeve.
A very worn-out Meet Addy. I wanted this one because it has the older illustrations.
The last book I pulled off the shelf as a second thought just to see if it was what I hoped it was. (And it was!)
Molly Learns a Lesson! This isn’t just any Molly Learns a Lesson though, it’s a first edition. Molly’s first 3 books were illustrated by C. F. Payne, and her last 3 were illustrated by Nick Backes. In 1989, C. F. Payne’s illustrations were redone by Nick Backes. Because the first edition was only around for 3 years, it’s pretty hard to find!
That’s my mini haul! Sometime soon I’ll have to show you guys how I organize over 100 AG books, but for now I wanted to keep it short so I could work on Monday’s post. Have a great day and remember to eat your veggies! See you guys Monday! <3
GREAT HAUL!!!!!! ( i have no clue why i put that in caps) I love the old books!
ReplyDeleteHaha, It’s caps lock worthy, I think. I love the old books, too!
Deleteyes it is!!! CAPS LOCK FOREVER!!
DeleteOh cool! Now you just need an original Samantha book to complete your collection. I've never seen an Addy book like that. Really cool to see!
ReplyDeleteI actually have an original Samantha book! I’m quite the AG book collector. ;) Yeah, my library has colored versions of Pleasant company books for some reason. They have a ton of them, so I guess it’s a thing? It is very cool!
DeleteNice post as always!! <3
ReplyDeleteThank you! ;)
DeleteI wasn't sure if this was going to be a haul of mini books or just a small haul...either way I was excited XD
ReplyDeleteThis was super fun! It looks like you found some cool books!
Oh lol!
DeleteYeah, I thought they were cool! I needed them in my collection.
That's so cool! I still haven't read any American Girl books (I'd like to read Felicity's, but my library doesn't have any of hers) but the old covers look really nice!

Felicity’s books are great! You might be able to find them digitally somewhere. If your Library has any of the historical books, I recommend them all. The illustrated versions are better though, because they really help you visualize what’s going on, and they’re absolutely beautiful. I’m quite the collector of all AG books, and I’ll have to go through my collection sometime. There’s a lot of cool stuff. <3
