Evenings in July ~ A Photoshoot

 Hey guys! Yes, I missed Monday, but here I am. I was out of town over the weekend, and had a photography camp before that. So. We'll take what we can get. Anyway, I've been dying to take pictures at the old road for, well, ever since I took my last photoshoot at the old road. 

Also, Monday night, I had one of the most insane FB Marketplace finds... a lot of AG clothes for $30. BUT IT HAD KIT'S OVERALLS, WHICH IS ONE OF MY DREAM OUTFITS. It's complete, too. 😭 Naturally, Kit had to get a photoshoot. :)

This is probably one of my favorite pictures I've ever taken, so I really shouldn't have put it first, but whatever. The backlighting is soooo pretty!! Ahh! (And it's full-body, which I seem to never do lol.)

And then moving on from the first one... I don't like this one as much. It's good, but there are others in this photoshoot I love way more.

Same with this one, though the lighting is great. A song I've been listening to a lot this summer is "Sleep on The Floor" by The Lumineers, and these photos kinda give me the same vibes as that song tbh.

I'm so excited to have this outfit (+ 3 other Kit outfits the lot came with), because Kit was MY GIRL as a kid. It was a tight race between her and Felicity for my favorite doll, but her book character was everything to me. When I say I was literally her... y'all, I had the blonde bob and everything. 

I like this one because it's a little closer to her face. I see a lot of Kits that are adorable, but I do have a little bias towards mine. She just has a really cute face. 😂

I don't think I've ever shared this tidbit, but Kit was my second doll, and I earned her by reading 30 chapter books the summer after first grade. A lot of my dolls have fun stories like that, and I've always felt like that has the potential to make a fun post.

Okay! Here's one of the pictures I *really* love! Idk how the order of my photos got rearranged so much, but the colors in some of these later ones turned out sooo pretty. The framing in this one isn't my favorite, but look how vibrant the colors are! I mean... Lightroom was a big help, but these photos were good before editing, too.

I want to say this was an attempt at getting some backlighting like in the first one, but I don't remember. The background is way washed out, so it's not my favorite.

And here's another one I really love! The grass and flowers look so good, the lighting is on point, the colors are bright; I'm in love! I can't make up my mind on the framing, but I do like how it's cropped above her knees.

I actually just looked at my photos on my phone again, and they're wayyy better quality on there. It's definitely a good feeling to realize your pictures are better than you though they were.

I was going to say I don't like this one very much, but my phone picks up a lot of purple-y tones in the photo that are kind of neat, so I think I do like it. If you look at her foot, there's a light leak, which is always cool. It also reminds me that the lot of doll clothes came with Kit's work boots!! 

I don't normally go for this angle, so I wanted to try something different. I don't hate it.

This one is stunning on my phone, so... I'm not trusting my Chromebook anymore.

I will say I don't love this one as much, and the background started looking weird when I edited it. Just don't look too long. ;)

Now this... this is definitely tied with the first one for favorite photo. Again, on my Chromebook, it's super washed-out, but the actual quality is SO crisp and bright and amazing. I'm in love.

Ugh the overalls are so cute. I'm jealous... I need clothes for myself in a bad way. School uniform means I bought almost no new clothes for 2.5 years, and how I perceive and want to express myself has changed in that time. 

Similar to the first photo, but I don't like it as much.

Another one where the sky got wonky. Oops.

And how could we forget the doll shoe pic? It's basically mandatory, per doll blogging rules.
