Dog Days Are Over ~ A Photoshoot

Hey guys! Today marks the last of the dog days of summer (assuming you're reading this on Monday.) I am a Florence + The Machine fan, so obviously this post had to become a song reference. The song will be stuck in my head for the next month. Anyway, this is a shorter photoshoot, but I wanted to get some stuff done! I got Rebecca's school outfit in the same lot I got Kit's overalls earlier this summer, so I've been wanting to do a photoshoot with her for a while. I'm just now getting to it. 😅 

I mentioned previously that I got Lightroom Premium, which has been SO fun for editing. I wanted to play around some more, so I made the background black and white! I can't decide if it's super cool or just okay, but the floral background is the wallpaper I have in my room, and the colors didn't go with Rebecca's outfit. It's mostly green, orange, pink, and white, but the pattern itself was the vibe I wanted. I love the framing in this picture.

Man, I really miss the 70-200 mm lens I rented. 🥲 I went back to my 50 mm and her eyes just aren't as sharp. 

A different angle here; it's kinda weird. 

Venting time: This post is brought to you by back-to-school. I go back this week, and I feel so clueless as to what to expect. I'm transferring from a little k-12 charter to my local public high school, so I'm going from under 100 kids in my high school to almost 3000 kids. I'm so glad to be at a new school. It's just intimidating. 😅 

Some time has passed, and honestly, I'm loving the grayscale background. You almost can't really tell the wallpaper is supposed to be colored. I don't know how I'll feel about it in the future, but it's a cool deviation from my usual style. I actually really love the framing in this one, too. I wish her eyes were a bit brighter, but I was working with what light I could get from my bedroom window. 

And one more! Like I said, very short. I love this one a lot.
