October Light ~ A Photoshoot

Hey guys! I just realized how long it's been since I did an AG photoshoot. It's somehow been since August?? So, I thought you guys might appreciate a new photoshoot! As you're reading this, it was just my birthday, so in celebration, I decided to take pictures of my lookalike doll, Eden. And yeah, let's get into it.

I'm really happy with how these photos turned out. I did them in my bedroom with nothing but a reflector and an open window (because I was lazy). The background is a black poster board with fake flowers taped on it. You can see the tape in this photo if you look closely enough. Oh well.

Eden is honestly so photogenic. Actually, now that I think about it, both of my Marie-Grace molds are super fun and easy to photograph. I'm going to need more Marie-Grace molds to conduct research on this topic.

Look at her!! She's so pretty. I feel like 115 is a pretty popular Truly Me doll, and I can see why. I personally think she looks quite a bit like me, so I love having her in my collection.

I actually need to do her hair so bad. It's getting frizzy but like... that takes time to do and I was feeling lazy. I love sitting down and dressing dolls or doing their hair, but I have to make a whole day or afternoon of it. It's really fun for me to do doll hair and dress dolls, and I probably do more of that with them than anything else. I've thought about doing some doll hair tutorials, but I didn't know if you guys would be interested! 😅
That being said, I love this photo. It might be my favorite, but we'll see how my opinion changes as I go through writing this post.

I don't know if I like the above eye-line angle or below eye-line angle better on her. I think that's the versatility of the Marie-Grace mold. Some face molds look better with one or the other, like the Asian mold (Jly 4). I love taking pictures of Min-Ji, but yeah, she photographs better (in my opinion) at certain angles.

Her arms kinda disappeared behind her hair. I promise she has arms though. Her hair's just big.

I really like this angle for some reason. It's just cool and I like how she fills up the frame. I always think her eyebrows make her look very determined, and that comes across in this photo. My eyebrows are a completely different shape, but I digress.

Omg, this lighting is to die for. I have two reflectors, and both of them went MIA... I finally found one of them, luckily, and it saved these photos lol. I'm really satisfied with the results.

If you can't tell, I was messing around with angles in this photoshoot. I'm also proud of myself for not ending up with blurry photos!! I have super shaky hands, and these were taken on a lower shutter speed than I'm normally comfortable with. I don't think any of the photos I settled on for the post ended up blurry.

So, the dress Eden is wearing is from Saige's collection, and it's the dress Sage wears for her birthday. I chose it because it's pink, which is my favorite color, but I also thought it was a fun Easter egg because Sage's birthday is in October as well. (October 8, I believe.)

Looking at this photo now, I adore it. I'm glad it turned out well.

This one's kind of the same thing, but I don't like it as much lol.

This one is probably my least favorite of the ones in the post, now that I'm looking at it.

These last two, I wanted to try to fill up the whole frame with her face. They're... interesting.
Anyway, I ran out of things to talk about, so what are you guys currently reading? I'm reading Metamorphoses by Ovid (a 2000 year-old book of Roman mythology, because why not). I really like it, so yeah. I'm fully aware that I'm a huge nerd. I could go on for a while about Greek / Roman mythology, so I'm just gonna... move on before that happens...

I'm suddenly getting flashbacks to all the random ugly selfies I send to my friends. Not that Eden is ugly, just that I really like to make weird expressions in selfies. I would probably take a super close-up selfie like this at this same angle.

I think that's all I have to say! I hope you all enjoyed this post! As always, I'll see you guys next week! Have a great day and remember to eat your veggies! Bye! <3
