You Light Up My Life ~ A Photoshoot
Hey guys! Happy Valentine's day! Or, I guess we're a little late, so... happy Lupercalia? Not really sure if I should be promoting ancient Roman festivals on the blog. Anyway, my school decided to give us Valentine's Day off, so I wanted to do a photoshoot. Naturally, I had to use Min-Ji, 'cause I love her. 🖤 And yeah, let's get into it.
So, as you can see, I tried to play around with some light. This took me FOREVER to figure out and I *almost* gave up! But I didn't! I'll say right off the bat that this isn't my favorite photo, but I took a ton of pictures so there are bound to be ones I like.
Like this one! Already better! As you can probably figure out without my obvious commentary, I used lace to create shadows. It was a very interesting experiment, but that's part of the fun, you know?
This angle is... I think I like it? It's also a cool shot where you can see the lace and the light on the wall.
Love this one as well. I've been wanting to take more creative shots, and I suppose there's no better place for creativity than when you're bored and home alone.
The shadows from the lace are so pronounced here. I love it.
Again, adore this. The little bokeh spot in the back left is one of the living room windows.
Honestly I feel like some of these shots are giving blanket fort vibes. I can respect that.
For anyone wondering how this photoshoot was set up, I actually used my phone flashlight to get the shadows!
I just love that you can see the lace in some of these.
I'm kind of getting movie flashback scenes from some of these. I feel like this not the most flattering picture of Min-Ji, though.
I took a lot of pictures, I don't really have any commentary for this one.
Loving this. Min-Ji in the strawberry dress is a look. In my mind, her character dresses in a darker or slightly more alternative style (or just straight-up Hozier vibes. Iykyk.), but I could so see her having this dress in her closet as the only thing that's not black or purple.
This shot feels dramatic. I like it.
I feel like the way the shadows land on her face is kind of awkward, but it's good photo.
This one is really dark, but you know what? That just makes it more dramatic.
MJ will never not be cute. (I've been calling her MJ for short a lot lately... I think it will stick.)
See what I mean? She's adorable.
Still cute.
At this point, the rest of my commentary is going to accidentally be me just raving about Min-Ji. I mean...! It's Jly 4!! I still can't believe I have her!
Okay, the shadows look awkward again here.
Same thing here.
Okay, I kind of love this shot. I think I took it before I figured out how to get the lace propped up without me holding it, but it's just super cute so I had to include it. <3
And yeah, I didn't really come up with a lot of commentary for this post, but I do hope you enjoyed the pictures! I'll be back whenever I'm back, but for now, have a great day and remember to eat your veggies! Bye! <3
