Your Songs Tag

Hey guys! I was working on something new and music-themed for my dolls, but it's still a huge WIP, so we're pivoting. Regan and Reesa tagged me for a music-themed tag, which I thought was perfect, considering this week's post was going to be about dolls and music! I'll have it out next Monday instead. This tag would be really fun to do in doll POVs, but since I'm running out of time to get stuff done, I'll be answering the questions myself today! I'm excited. :)

Here are the rules:

1. Link to the original post

2. Credit the person who tagged you (Thank you!)

3. Tag 1-3 more bloggers!

Now onto the questions. :)

Your favorite song right now

I'm so obsessed with The Happy Fits right now, it's funny. They're an incredible rock back that uses CELLO, and I 100% recommend them. They're not nearly popular enough. The cello solo in this song gives me chills.

Favorite Christian song

I don't listen to Christian music, so I can't answer this one.

Your favorite song five years ago

I don't know what it was with me and this song. 😂 I loved it.

Your favorite lullaby/soothing song

Hey! It says "lullaby" in the title, so it totally counts, okay??

A song that made you cry

I have a playlist for songs that make me cry lol. Paris Paloma is one of my favorite artists of all time. I think she's amazing and underrated, and you can usually tell how my week's going by how much Paris Paloma I've listened to.

A song that makes you dance

I mean, it's in the name.

A song that you covered/performed

In my elementary school choir, this was one of the songs we sang. My edgy little self related to it so much.

Favorite movie song

I've never seen the movie, but Hozier's vocals will never not be perfect. It's like a hug for your soul.

Favorite song from a new album

Okay, the album isn't out yet, but still.

A song that makes you sentimental

Have you ever heard a song so good, you just have to pause and sit there? You cry to it, lock yourself in your room and blast it, write a book about it? I love this song so much for how sentimental it makes me feel, it literally became the inspiration to write my book.

A song you’ve heard a lot lately

Love it. Apple Music keeps playing it for my mom. It's way too catchy.

A song you’d do at karaoke

This was one of the songs I did the last time I did karaoke. I know all the lyrics, which I guess is good for karaoke. Idk, I don't really do karaoke. I don't exactly have the range for Too Sweet, but that doesn't stop me from breaking out into it whenever my tea is too sweet.

A good road trip song

My dad has ALWAYS turned on the 90s alt and 2000s pop/rock radio stations on road trips, and it seems like this song came on so many times on the radio AND my playlist when we were travelling for my brother's hockey games.

A cute love song

It's just...! I love it!!

Favorite country song

This is the closest I'll get to country music. I'm not a country music person. I find that a little surprising because I had a little country music phase when I was little. My dad let me borrow his Garth Brooks CD, and I listened to it religiously. I really like folk music, and there's a decent niche of folk country, but I just cannot. I'm sorry, guys. I'm gonna get kicked out of the south for this.

A song that you love but cannot sing

Oh, the power I could have with Hozier's range. I will never understand how a grown man can sing higher than a literal teenage girl. Guess I'm just going to have to learn banjolele since I can't sing.

I don't really know who to tag, so I'm leaving it open! If you want to do it, go for it!

And that's all for now! have a great week and remember to eat your veggies! Bye! <3

  1. Haha, I love the featured image😂
I'm so glad you did this tag! I always love seeing your music opinions. I'm so surprised that Hozier made your list though...you hardly ever talk about him!
I'll have to check out some of these songs and artists (maybe for my 31 album series!)
I relate about not really liking country music but vibing to Noah Kahan. And why does everyone in the South love country music so much??
I'm really excited to see the project that combines dolls and music! I'm sure it'll be great!

    1. Haha, thanks. 😂
I feel like my music taste is pretty ✨extra✨, so I'm always excited to find someone who'll talk music with me! And, right?? I dunno, I've just listened to a little bit of Hozier recently and he's okay I guess. 😉
I def recommend these artists! Idk what you'd like best, but Paris Paloma's Cacophony album might be a fun one for your 31 album series.
For the record, there are still a lot of us in the south who don't like country music. 😂 It's just a cultural thing, I guess; like sweet tea.
Me too! Finals are killing me, so I'm trying to get the most out of my content without getting in the way of other priorities. I'll get there eventually. 🫠

  2. I don't actually listen to Noah Kahan but I always feel like I should, because I've never heard one of his songs that I've disliked.
Honestly love some good cello so maybe I'll have to check out the Happy Fits! Thanks for doing this, and I hope you enjoyed!

    1. Same, actually. I went through a phase of not liking his music because the amount I was forced to listen to Stick Season really annoyed me, but having heard more of his stuff, I think I need to give him another chance. 😂
The Happy Fits are amazing. I'd never heard cello outside of classical music, but it adds so much to the songs- I definitely recommend giving them a listen! I had so much fun doing this tag, thanks again for tagging me!
