2025 Not-AG Photodump

Hey guys! It's December, and I'm wanting to make a bunch of "2025 in review" type posts... which I'll do eventually, but for now, I thought I'd do a small photodump of non-AG photography I did this year. That's all I got for this intro. Enjoy!
This is one of my most recent photoshoots. I had some friends over to watch Monster High movies for my birthday, and ended up taking some pictures after they left. This one is of Ghoulia. She's a zombie and I love this version of her (her core doll) sooo much. Like, the fishnet gloves? So cool. I want her outfit for myself.
I went for a bit of a moody vibe on this one. This doll was my Roman Empire for a solid few months. Barbie released this "deluxe style" line in, oh, January or February(?) and part of the line was a Target-exclusive redhead variant (the one in my picture!!). She wasn't available to purchase online, so you had to go hunting for her in-store. Well, the collecting community went crazy for this doll, and not because it was a good gimmick, but because she resembles the character Midge, who hasn't been given a doll since the 2010s. I genuinely wanted her so badly, and kept going to Target several times a week just to have my heart broken when the line never stocked at all... I even had the employees check the back, to no avail. 😩
Well, in June, my mom and I were in Target, and you know what I found? The whole Deluxe Style line. Midge was right there, and I can only assume the original shipment of these dolls had been lost in the back of the store. It worked out for me because I got her for $13. And she's gorgeous!! I love her just as much as I thought I would!
Early in the summer, I took a photography camp. It was easy to bring Barbies to camp in my camera bag, so I ended up bringing different dolls to camp every day to take pictures of. This is Teddie, and I've maybe done one post on the blog including her before. She's an Odile mermaid head I put on an MTM tennis player body, if anyone is keeping up with what these dolls are. Believe it or not, I took this picture outdoors! It kinda looks like a studio background to me.
This is Bea, my Barbie Looks 20 doll. She also accompanied me to photography camp! I'm a huge fan of her face card, so I knew she was a must when I first saw her. I've had her for a bit now though. Barbie didn't do a wave of Looks dolls this year, which was really disappointing because that's my favorite line. It was originally designed for doll photographers, and so the face screenings are so detailed, and they put them on MTM bodies, which, as you can see in this picture, have a ton of articulation for posing.
Oh, and I made Bea's outfit! It's a little big because the pattern was made for older Barbie body types, but Bea pulled it off anyway. :)
Another one of my looks dolls, Simone, was my main muse for photography camp. Barbies are usually identified by the name of their face mold, and Simone is the only one of my Barbies that I named after her mold. I really liked the name Simone. She's a Looks 24, and definitely battles it out with Bea over my favorite Looks face screening.
I feel like this one is older, but it hasn't formally been shown on the blog, to my knowledge. I'm a big Florence + The Machine fan, and her album "Dance Fever" is one of my favorite albums. I had this idea that Bea looks kind of like Florence, so I tried to recreate the Dance Fever cover. It's not perfect, but I really like it. :)
This was actually the first picture I took on my current camera! The doll is my Monster High Creeproduction Frankie. I had the 2015 reproduction version, so having Frankie's core doll again has filled my heart with so much happiness. <3 And yes, I've had her for almost a full year, but I love this doll as much as I did when I was little.
This is my Barbie Looks 19, Emery. I did this photoshoot purely because I made her pants. They took like 2 hours because sewing for tiny dolls is so stinking hard.
This one lets you see her pants better. :)
This was a set I made for photography camp that I loved. It's all Barbie accessories. The chair is from my childhood, and the briefcase belongs to Day-to-Night Barbie! I just really loved the pink combined with the simplicity of everything else.
So that was my short little not-AG photodump! I'll be back soon, but for now, I have a great week and remember to eat your veggies! Bye!
