Margaret "Kit" Mildred Kittredge

    When I learned how to read, books took over my life. As I became a confident reader in early elementary school, I became obsessed with books like Magic Treehouse. I don't remember why I started wanting Kit, but my parents told me that I could earn her if I read 20 chapter books the summer before second grade. I did what any normal kid would do and read 30. I picked Kit out at the Kansas City American Girl store in 2016, and, after reading her book, I was obsessed! 

Lore and Personality

    Kit is a more reclusive student at Piney Grove School of the Arts. She's 16 years old and in 10th grade, but has an old soul. She loves to read and write. Her closest friend is Ruthie Smithens. Kit is a fan of cozy things like sweaters and scented candles, and her favorite season is fall.
