Marie-Grace

Marie-Grace Rousseau Gardner

My family mysteriously ended up on American Girl's catalog mailing list in 2013, and I was instantly obsessed with Marie-Grace. Her frilly dresses, bright blue eyes, and the fact that my middle name is Grace convinced me she was the perfect doll. I received Marie-Grace for Christmas in 2013, and she has been dear to me ever since.

Lore and Personality

Marie-Grace grew up in Piney Grove and lives in the well-known historical landmark, the Blue-Bricked Manor (actually the nickname I gave my dollhouse when I was little!). Marie-Grace's familiarity with the history of her town seeps into her style and appreciation of all things. Her style is soft and whimsical, often drawing inspiration from vintage aesthetics. She is a bubbly person known for kindness, and although Marie-Grace is quiet, she's surprisingly extraverted and always willing to be there for others.

Marie-Grace is 17 and in 11th grade at my dolls' school, Piney Grove School of the Arts. She doesn't have a specific art she pursues, but she likes to read and go to thrift stores. Her closest friend is Cecile Ray.
