The Twilight Zone - There’s Two Of Me?!

There is a fifth dimension, beyond that which is known to man. It is a dimension as vast as space and as timeless as infinity. It is the middle ground between light and shadow, between science and superstition, and it lies between the pit of man's fears and the summit of his knowledge. This is the dimension of imagination. It is an area which we call The Twilight Zone.

Olivia Claire: Hey Courtney! Earth to Courtney! I need to decorate for Valentine’s Day, so can you move?

Courtney: Pffft, why would you want to decorate for a fake holiday?

Olivia Claire: Ugh, it’s not fake. Stella, can you help me out here?

Stella: No way. I’m neutral here. I really don’t want to mess with Courtney.

Olivia Claire: *Sigh* Never mind. You know, sometimes I really wish there were two of me. Think of how much more I could get done!

Courtney: You’d just be twice as annoying.

Olivia Claire, age 12. She’s kind and optimistic, but kindness and optimism don’t boss her siblings around the way she wants. It drives everyone else crazy. Exactly how crazy? As Olivia Claire begrudgingly watches Courtney finish another video game level, little does she know that Piney Grove rests on the outskirts of The Twilight Zone

Olivia Claire: Hey Luci, I’m done with my homework! Will you check it for me?

Luciana: Yeah, of course! Say, you must have finished this quick. I asked you about it five minutes ago and you said you hadn’t started yet.

Olivia Claire: How could that be? I’ve been working on it for the past half hour.

Luciana: That’s not possible… Anyway, you did pretty good on this homework. Much better than last time.

Felicity: Ohmahgosh.

Olivia Claire: What?

Felicity: Literally what did I just tell you about socks and sandals?! They’re not appropriate for wearing outside the house.

Olivia Claire: Then good thing I’m not going anywhere today.

Felicity: You literally just said you were going to get boba tea with Luna.

Olivia Claire: No, I didn’t— I’m not—

Felicity: Ugh, whatever. I don’t care. *walks off*

Olivia Claire: What is everyone’s deal today, thinking they’ve seen me when I haven’t been anywhere near them?

Logan: Didn’t you just leave?

Olivia Claire: NO.

Logan: Then why—

Olivia Claire: I don’t know, Logan. It’s so weird. Maybe everyone’s seeing someone who just looks like me. Maybe that’s it. Maybe there’s a new girl that looks just like me.

Logan: But she was wearing the same thing you were wearing and looked like you and also was you.

Olivia Claire: I was talking to myself, okay?

Logan: Ok…

Olivia Claire: Maybe I was sleep walking or something? Maybe an alien— no, never mind. This whole thing is making me crazy! Here I am, sounding like Maryellen! Everyone knows aliens aren’t real.

Eden: Hey, have you seen Maryellen anywhere? She’s about to miss the season premiere of Alien Mysteries.

Olivia Claire: No, but you’re the exact person I needed to see. You probably know what’s going on!

Eden: What am I supposed to know?

*The front door opens*

Eden: Oh my gosh, Olivia Claire, you need- you need to see this…

Olivia Claire: What is it?

Olivia Claire: THERE’S TWO OF ME?!

Sometimes in frustration we hope for things that are not possible. The absurdity of our dreams it what makes us keep wishing. Keep in mind, it pays to be careful what you wish, for the crazy and insane is possible when you find yourself on a journey to… The Twilight Zone

————————————————————————

Hi there! Where do I begin? I meant to post this last week, but then I ran out of time to take pictures and blogger deleted everything I had written! It ended up being okay, though, because I made it 40% better than it was before! As I mentioned in my last post, my flea market haul included a doll that I already had, and that is Jly 21! She has a little bit of a haircut, but that just makes her even cuter?? As much as I love her, I’m not actually going to keep her! I’m giving her to my best friend— this is her first doll! I knew as soon as I got her I needed to make this photostory. I watched a ton of Twilight Zone episodes over winter break, so I wanted to do some sort of my own episode of it with my dolls.

The Twilight Zone is an old tv show that started in 1959, in case some of my readers aren’t familiar with it. It’s known for being a little scary, though, so I wouldn’t recommend it for my readers that get scared easily. It’s not, like, horror movie scary (I wouldn’t be able to handle that) but it’s hard to explain, really. It’s scary but not scary, I guess.

Anyway, here’s a colored photo of Olivia Claire and the 21 from the flea market:

(I’m not sure how similar they look in black and white, but you can tell they’re the same in color)

Okay, this is going on and on and it’s kind of random, but my friend who I’m giving the doll to drew her. Isn’t she talented? She actually has a blog where she posts her art! You can check her out at Drawing To a Tea. I know it would mean a lot to her!

That’s all for today! As always, have a great day and remember to eat your veggies! Bye! <3

  4. This is such a great spin on the old tv show! Some of the photos were exceptionally positioned and creative. Nice work! I love that you’re sharing your love of AG with us and with your BFF. She’s going to love having her own AG doll! And, I can’t wait to see what other drawings she does of her. ☺️

    1. To be fair, flea markets are mostly tea cups in America, too! I don’t have good finds very often. And yes, isn’t Tea just the best? I think she’s planning to post some AG content soon!
